WHAT IS LILOU GEMS?
High quality jewelry and knitwear designed by you and made for you! Lilou Gems pieces are all customizable to your wants and needs, designed to reflect your ideal self and to fit you perfectly. Lilou Gems offers dreamy pieces that are timeless, inspired by heirlooms and all things mystical.
PRICING
LILOU GEMS pieces are handmade to order, using ethically sourced high quality materials, which is reflected in the price. All prices are calculated using a formula that takes into account the production time, the raw materials, and overhead costs.
Time: The minimum wage where LILOU GEMS is based is $15/h in 2023, with a $24/h living wage.
Materials: We pride ourselves in using high quality and long-lasting materials, whilst also sourcing them ethically, which can get quite pricey (but so worth it!!).
Overhead: A portion of sales is set aside to pay for smaller costs such as the website, studio rent, development of new products, knitting machines and hooks, jewelry pliers, shipping materials, and much more!
TRADES
Always open for trades and bartering! If you are an artist (tattoo artist (based in Montreal, prints, visual arts, designer, vintage seller, anything else) and would like to do a trade for some LILOU GEMS knitwear or jewelry just send an email at BLANK!
WHAT MATERIALS ARE YOUR PRODUCTS MADE OF?
High quality jewelry that is designed for everyday wear is at the core of Lilou Gems, so the materials used reflect that!
All metal used (apart from the few sterling silver 925 pieces) is stainless steel, which is waterproof, long lasting, and hypoallergenic.
All yarn used is OEKO-TEX certified, which has been tested for harmful substances to protect your health
Other materials include glass, ceramic and freshwater pearls, all coming from small artisans!

DO YOU ACCEPT RETURNS?
Due to the handmade to order and customized nature of our pieces, returns are usually not accepted, with exceptions. If your item got damaged in transit or you are having any other issues with the state or quality of your item, send us a DM (instagram is @LILOUGEMS) and we will figure something out!
HOW LONG WILL MY ORDER TAKE TO GET TO ME?
As all items are handmade to order, there is a production time of 1 week on average, but can take up to 2 weeks. If you'd your pieces ready sooner than that, please email us at BLANK before you order and we will figure something out!

You can pay via with PayPal, Apple Pay, Shop Pay, Google Pay, Mastercard and Visa.
WHAT IS THE PROPER AFTERCARE FOR MY PRODUCTS?
Most pieces are made for everyday wear and are designed to become a part of your everyday life!
Metal based pieces are all waterproof and can be worn everyday with low maintenance. A polish every once in a while should be enough.
Yarn based pieces are more high maintenance: to keep them in their original condition, hand-wash your pieces in cold water, air dry, and handle them with love and care.
